From 19 to 21 May 2026, we took part in the largest ever edition of UNITI Expo in Stuttgart. At the heart of the Advanced Technologies Hall, we presented our remote monitoring and stock management solutions for petrol stations. Here’s a look back at three days of discussions that underscored the vital role of human contact in an industry undergoing rapid change.

Firmly recognised as the leading event for service station professionals, UNITI Expo reached new heights with its 6th edition – bringing together over 20,500 visitors from 114 countries and 604 exhibitors across 45,000 m². For Sensile Technologies, it was the perfect platform to reinforce its position as a leader in IIoT solutions for fuel tank monitoring.

Driving visibility for operational efficiency

In Hall 5, Sensile Technologies joined suppliers from around the world in showcasing the infrastructure essential to modern service stations. Visitors seeking practical solutions to optimise remote stock management and fuel supply logistics were particularly impressed by our approach, built around four key pillars:

Operational visibility through real-time monitoring of petrol and diesel tank levels
Simple and flexible installation, requiring no electrical connection and allowing multiple tanks to be monitored with a single device
Scalability suitable for both independent service stations and networks with hundreds or thousands of tanks
Structured and proactive maintenance via our TrackUP™ tool

One of the key trends identified at this trade fair was the increasing integration of artificial intelligence. We are fully embracing this shift with advanced algorithms that predict fuel consumption and trigger deliveries at the optimal time – eliminating stock-outs, significantly reducing logistics costs, and ensuring maximum customer satisfaction.

Technology, expertise and human support: three key differentiators

While the robustness of our technology lies at the heart of our offering – including, among other things, connectivity that ensures uninterrupted data transmission from underground tanks – what made the greatest impression on visitors was the value of our industry expertise, forged over more than 25 years of working closely with our customers.

In a market where solutions are multiplying, fuel-sector professionals particularly appreciate the proven reliability of our systems, as well as the dependable support provided by our Swiss-based Helpdesk.

The power of personal connection

In today’s digital age, the success of this edition of UNITI Expo highlights the enduring power of face to face interaction. For Silvia König, Head of Business Development, “Nothing can replace the richness of unexpected conversations that take place at these trade shows, nor the trust built through meeting in person. These are the foundations of long-term partnerships, and where business goes far beyond simple transactions.”

Key to this dynamic is the composition of the team on the stand. “Different backgrounds, roles and perspectives naturally lead to more comprehensive exchanges,” notes Silvia. That is why Cédric Morel, our Managing Director, was present on the stand – as he has been at every edition – bringing his 25 years of experience at Sensile to bear. Together with Bikay Hamuli, our Marketing & Customer Success Specialist since the beginning of this year, they formed a complementary trio.

See you in 2028

We will be back at the next edition of UNITI Expo, from 16 to 18 May 2028 in Stuttgart, to continue supporting the digital transformation of petrol stations around the world.
