From 15 to 17 September, Sensile Technologies was in Düsseldorf for its fourth appearance at Lubricant Expo Europe. Three days of discussions centred on key challenges for lubricant distributors: better anticipating needs, optimising operational planning and keeping logistics costs under control, in a sector under significant pressure.

Two people stand at a Sensile Technologies exhibition booth with promotional materials, branding, and a table with chairs visible.

Cédric Morel, our Managing Director, and Silvia König, Head of Business Development, met with distributors, customers and partners. Discussions focused in particular on how companies in the sector can utilise operational data to optimise their logistics operations.

More than just monitoring: driving efficiency

“This year, exhibitors and visitors spoke to us at length about the pressure caused by soaring logistics costs and uncertainty within their supply chains. This is making their planning increasingly difficult,” notes Cédric Morel.

In this context, being able to reliably monitor product stock levels in tanks remotely is essential. But this visibility is only the first step. The challenge is also to be able to anticipate what will happen, in order to plan restocking more effectively.

“This is precisely what our IIoT telemetry solutions offer. They make logistics more predictable, enabling our customers to improve efficiency and reduce costs,” explains Silvia König.

In our Oil Link™ cloud portal, the data measured in the tanks is thus supplemented by forecast data. This can be used to automate delivery planning or integrated into existing logistics systems. The result: fewer unnecessary or urgent deliveries, better anticipation of requirements and higher average delivery volumes.

Staying closely attuned to needs on the ground

With a different location to previous editions, our stand enabled us to meet new companies and new contacts, whilst reconnecting with long-standing customers and partners.

According to Silvia König, “a trade fair like Lubricant Expo is important because it allows us to stay closely attuned to the sector’s needs and the value we can deliver, through our solutions and, more broadly, thanks to the WIKA Group’s IIoT digitalisation capabilities”.

See you in 2027

We have already confirmed our participation in the next edition of Lubricant Expo Europe, which will take place in Düsseldorf from 14 to 16 September 2027. We look forward to seeing you again next year, with the same guiding principle: transforming operational data into useful insights to make operations and logistics more efficient and predictable.
