With over 125 exhibitors and thousands of visitors, Lubricant Expo is Europe’s largest trade fair and conference for lubrication technologies. This year, Sensile Technologies joined the group of exhibitors: an excellent opportunity to strengthen links with existing customers and partners and meet new customers.

Three intense days on the Sensile Technologies stand

From 26 to 28 September 2023, Sensile Technologies was at the Lubricant Expo in Essen,in western Germany. Now in its second year, the event has rapidly become the key meeting place for the major players in Europe’s lubricants industry.

“We were delighted to take part in the show. Attendance at the stand was excellent, both in terms of the number of visitors and the quality of interactions, ” said Alain Bittinger, Account Manager.

High-performance technology for used oil treatment too

Sensile Technologies’ smart sensors are installed on more than 100,000 fuel, lubricant and gas tanks around the world. Oil and gas companies use them to monitor and measure tank levels remotely, in order to optimise delivery planning and customer satisfaction.

“Our algorithm is also designed to send an alarm if the level in the tank is high, which is very useful for monitoring waste oil levels. Our system accurately calculates the best day to empty the tanks, thus optimising road tanker logistics, ” explained Cédric Morel, CEO.

Lubricants industry challenges at the heart of discussions

As the topics covered at the Lubricant Expo conferences have shown, the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) has a rightful place in a highly competitive oil industry that has to deal with the challenge of sustainable development. Remote tank sensors enable Sensile Technologies’ customers to reduce their carbon footprint, whilst cutting logistics costs and CO2 emissions, as they monitor, fill and empty their customers’ tanks.

Another challenge is the rise of electric vehicles. The volumes of motor oils used in the automotive industry are likely to fall over the next few years. But this development will bring new needs, specific to the electrification of the vehicle fleet, which requires battery cooling fluids, for example.

The date has already been set for 2024

The next Lubricant Expo will be held from 17 to 19 September, 2024 in Düsseldorf, Germany. Sensile Technologies is looking forward to seeing its customers and partners there once again. Save the date!
