Sensile Medical gained ISO Certification
Hägendorf, February 4, 2008, Sensile Medical announces the certification of the company according to ISO 13485:2003 and ISO 9001:2000 based on the audit by SQS of November 13 & 14, 2007.
The establishment of the ISO 13485:2003 and ISO 9001:200 certification is an essential milestone for Sensile Medical's activities and business needs. Sensile Medical fulfils now the required quality standards for the development of medical devices.

Research Award 2007 of the Swiss Society for Biomedical Engineering (SSBE)
The work accomplished by Simon Kuenzi and Eric Meurville at the EPFL on the "Implantable Glucose Sensor" won the Swiss Society for Biomedical Engineering (SSBE) Research Award 2007.
This annual award honors outstanding scientific work performed in the field of biomedical engineering. The work was submitted in the form of the Ph.D. thesis of Simon Kuenzi.
The nominees were invited for an oral presentation given at the 2007 Annual Meeting of the SSBE, held at the CSEM in Neuchâtel. This meeting brings together academic and corporate researchers throughout Switzerland from diverse fields of biomedical engineering. The Sensile Medical team congratulates Simon Kuenzi and Eric Meurville!

PhD students won price in EPFL poster competition
The PhD students Antoine Barraud and Simon Kuenzi won the Best Poster Award of the Doctorial School of the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (EPFL) in Lausanne (http://lpm.epfl.ch/) in the section “Manufacturing and Robotics” in the symposium “Le Doctorant comme Vecteur d`Innovation”. The symposium took place in the EPFL in Lausanne and comprises a poster exposition of more than 250 posters.
Antoine Barraud and Simon Kuenzi presented the poster “Implantable Continuous Glucose Sensor”, a project which is done in collaboration with Sensile Medical. The poster and the project attracted that much interest, that is was selected for the Best Poster Award. The award reflects the excellent work between the lab of Prof. Dr. Ryser at the EPFL and the industrial partner Sensile Medical AG. The Sensile Medical team congratulates Antoine Barraud and Simon Kuenzi!
